Happy New year! Happy New Beginnings, Hopes and Dreams.
Yesterday I thought about my resolutions, although, I don't call them that. they are more like goals, but not worded that way. They are just areas of my life I want to work on. For the past three years they were Faith, Family, Friendships, Finances and Fitness,. These are the areas of my life I am working on, making better. In the last three years I have been doing better in those areas. Someday I will explain more . I decided to change it up a little this year. I'm going to Level up my life. I am Living more, Loving more, Laughing more, Learning more, and Living Large!
I am an elementary School teacher. This is my 30th year. I now teach reading to students with dyslexia, I love what I do. I love watching a child who could barely read in second grade become a reader, and love reading by the time they get to fifth grade. Does this love of reading happen to all of them, no of course not, but they work hard at it ! I love that part too!
At home, I spend a lot more time than I want on the couch, watching TV, listening to my Hubby lay on the bed in the other room play poker, or watch you tube videos. We have been married for 28 years. Our children are grown, two have moved out and are truly on their own. One in Chicago with his girlfriend, one here in San Antonio with her boyfriend and 7 year old daughter. The other two live at home, but sleeping here is about all they do. One works two part time jobs, and plays video games, he is planning on moving out in Feb. The other is having a baby in May, and her boyfriend lives with us. She is working full time in retail.

So how am I going to level up my life? How am I going to change, get off the couch and do more living? Good question!
First, my faith is good! God is the most important part of my life. I keep learning and growing in my faith! Check out my Pinerest board Spiritual Journey I have been reading writing, and journaling bible scriptures the past two years. I have to do it every morning!
Next, I have to fix the finances again. We remodeled the Kitchen this fall,
My all time favorite books about personal finance are by Dave Ramsey. I am working on the baby steps, but am gonna have to start over yet again. If you can, read them! Even if you are part of the working poor, his books can help you. I highly recommend them!
That is it for today. Gotta go live my life and take the Christmas things down and put them away. Have a great week!
